Washing and Cleaning

Always remove padding before washing a crystal bikini.

The glue on the stones is water soluble and softens when wet. Try to wait as long as possible before washing, you can probably wear the garment several times before it needs washing and then wash extremely carefully.

I usually wash such garments in the bathroom.

Have the bath ready with clean water for rinsing to minimise the length of time in the water and a towel ready at the side of the bath.

Fill the sink with luke warm water and washing up liquid. Swish briefly in the water for 30 seconds (this type of fabric does not need vigorous washing).

Place immediately in the bath of prepared water to rinse (10 seconds).

Wrap in towel for a minute to take off the excess water then hang in a warm place to dry.

The glue will go white then clear again.

Swarovski Crystals

We are also stockists for Swarovski crystals which can be used instead of the standard crystals for that extra sparkle. Prices available on request.

Connectors

Please keep the connectors straight during transit. The connectors are delicate and need careful handling as bending can cause the connector to break or may loosen crystals.

Figure Bikini Straps

Many girls find it easier to tie the back strap against the hip of the bottoms and cut to length. If you prefer the hooks they are already sewn in and the straps can be stitched by hand, as per the sample, to fit. TIP: – if you struggle to get the straps off the hooks ease off with a pair of tweezers.

Replacing Stones

It is inevitable you will lose a few stones with wear. This will not be noticeable on stage.

We enclose a complimentary repair kit with each garment.

The added advantage of the water soluble glue is that the stones can be stripped and used on your next suit. One of my customers recently saved over £100 on a suit by re-using stones.

This is a huge advantage also considering how quickly bikinis get damaged by tan. We can supply stones and glue if you wish to decorate your own garment. Price lists are available on request.
